Montessori Visit
We’re looking forward to Kay and all the Footprints Kids coming to spend the morning of Friday 31st in the Junior Classroom. Miss Whelan is busy putting lots of fun activities together for the morning!
Credit Union Quiz
Good Luck to our Kilbarron Quiz Team; Sophy Foster, Giedre Motiejunaite, Jack Geraghty and Henry Foster. The Quiz is at 3pm on Sunday 3rd February in Colaíste Cholmcille & everyone is welcome to attend. They always represent the school very well.
Ballyshannon Community Games
Entry forms for the Community Games 2014 have been sent home.There are lots of events to choose from and children can enter any area they like – it is a fun, family event which is well-supported in the town. If you could return any entry forms to the school by Wednesday 5th February with the entry fee. Under 6 Children who wish to take part do not need an entry form and are free – just arrive on the day!! It would be lovely to see some Kilbarron Kids there!
Mid- Term Break
School will be closed on Thursday 20th February and Friday 21st February. School will re-open on Monday 24th February 2014.
Green School Progress:
We will be announcing our Green Schools Committee on Thursday 30th January. Next week we will be busy reviewing current waste & litter practices in our school. Following on from this, we will put our action plan in place. If any parents have expertise in this area or have suggestions, please speak to the teachers or children on the committee!!
World Book Day 2014
March 6th 2014 is World Book Day and we will be having lots of fun in school that day to celebrate. This will be our first year to mark the occasion in school and more information will be sent home after Mid-Term!!
Open Day 2014
Our Open Day will be held on Friday 28th March 2014 from 1.15 – 2.45pm. We invite any new pupils along with their parents to have a look at the school and spend some time in the Junior Classroom. Enrolment forms are available from Kari in the school office and if you have any questions regarding enrolment or the Open Day, feel free to pop in to discuss with the teachers.
